Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care including medication administration, wound care, and treatment monitoring
- Assess patient conditions, document medical records, and collaborate with care teams
- Respond to emergency situations with rapid intervention and critical decision-making
- Maintain sterile environments and ensure strict compliance with JCAHO standards
- Supervise LVNs/CNAs and coordinate interdisciplinary care plans
- Utilize advanced monitoring equipment for ICU-stepdown patients
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff education
Qualifications
- Valid New York State RN license (required)
- BSN or higher preferred (ADN with 3+ years experience considered)
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience (ER/ICU/Cardiac preferred)
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Electronic Health Records proficiency (EPIC/Cerner experience)
- Strong critical thinking and rapid assessment abilities
- Flexibility for 12-hour night shifts and rotating weekends
- Excellent communication skills in high-pressure environments
