Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor patients' vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Move patients safely using proper body mechanics and assistive devices, such as walkers and wheelchairs.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during their stay.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care plans and progress notes.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all patients in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team regarding patient needs and updates.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Florida.
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program (High school diploma or GED preferred).
- Strong desire to learn and grow within the healthcare field.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic health record (EHR) documentation.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Excellent physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift patients as needed.
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient-centered care.
