Responsibilities
- Perform Venipunctures: Draw blood samples from adult and pediatric patients using standard phlebotomy techniques and equipment.
- Patient Interaction: Comfort patients, explain procedures, and answer questions to reduce anxiety and ensure a smooth collection process.
- Sample Processing: Accurately label, log, and transport blood samples to the laboratory for analysis.
- Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to strict safety protocols, HIPAA regulations, and OSHA standards for all medical procedures.
- Equipment Maintenance: Clean, disinfect, and maintain phlebotomy equipment and supplies.
- Administrative Duties: Update patient charts and assist with other front-desk duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED is required.
- Experience: No prior experience required; full training is provided for the right candidate.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and staff.
