Responsibilities
- Verify prescriptions for accuracy and completeness before dispensing.
- Prepare and package medications, including sterile compounding where applicable.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions about medications and pharmacy policies.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving deliveries and restocking shelves.
- Process insurance claims and handle cash transactions accurately.
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards.
- Assist pharmacists with medication therapy management and special orders.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining focus.
- Willingness to obtain national certification (PTCB/ExCPT) upon completion of training.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
