Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide basic bedside care and comfort measures to ensure patient well-being.
- Document patient care activities accurately in electronic medical records.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and family members regarding patient status and care plans.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all residents and patients.
- Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Virginia.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (ACLS preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs when necessary.
