Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers to ensure maximum safety and comfort.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and patients' families regarding patient status.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by registered nurses.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized patient care environment.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergencies within the scope of the CNA role.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Florida CNA Certification (CNA 1) required.
- Certified Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be current.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting is highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on empathy and patience.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Valid Florida driver's license and reliable transportation are recommended.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
