Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and surgical treatments
- Perform infection control protocols and sterilize dental instruments
- Prepare treatment rooms and maintain optimal inventory levels
- Capture detailed dental radiographs and digital impressions
- Deliver patient education on oral hygiene techniques
- Manage electronic health records with precision
- Coordinate seamless communication between patients and specialists
Qualifications
- Active New York State Dental Assistant certification
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography (Dexis/Radiovisio)
- CPR/BLS certification with current credentials
- Exceptional chairside assistance for endodontic procedures
- Knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance standards
- Strong interpersonal skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work 20-25 hours weekly, including evenings
