Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including endodontics and restorative treatments
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following OSHA protocols
- Take and develop dental radiographs with digital imaging technology
- Manage patient records and digital charting using Dentrix software
- Deliver patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Oversee inventory management and ordering of dental supplies
- Maintain a clean, organized, and HIPAA-compliant treatment area
Qualifications
- New York State Dental Assistant certification (RDA or DAII required)
- Minimum 2 years chairside experience in a multi-specialty practice
- CPR/BLS certification and current immunization records
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- Exceptional communication skills in English and Spanish (bilingual a plus)
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and OSHA standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
