Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and medical histories to determine urgency and prioritize care
- Provide accurate telephone triage for incoming emergency calls
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
- Maintain detailed electronic health records with precise documentation
- Educate patients on appropriate care pathways and next steps
- Monitor bed availability and manage patient flow through the ED
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Nebraska
- Minimum 2 years emergency department or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong assessment skills and ability to work under pressure
- Excellent verbal/written communication abilities
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (EPIC preferred)
- BSN degree preferred
