Responsibilities
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Patient Monitoring: Observe and report any changes in a patient's physical or mental condition to the nursing supervisor.
- Medication Management: Assist with medication reminders and administration under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
- Companionship & Emotional Support: Build trusting relationships with patients, providing conversation and emotional comfort.
- Household Support: Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, meal preparation, and cleaning to ensure a safe living environment.
- Transportation: Accompany patients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, or community outings.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date daily logs of care provided.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Certification: Current Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of California.
- Driver's License: Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- CPR/First Aid: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification is highly preferred.
