Responsibilities
- Chair-Side Assistance: Support the dentist and hygienists during examinations and procedures, ensuring the operatory is fully prepared.
- Patient Care: Greet patients, explain procedures, and provide post-operative instructions to ensure a smooth patient journey.
- Digital Imaging: Capture and process intraoral and panoramic X-rays accurately and efficiently.
- Infection Control: Maintain strict sterilization protocols and cross-infection control standards to ensure a safe environment.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate dental records, charting treatment progress, and updating patient histories.
- Inventory Management: Monitor supply levels and order necessary dental materials and equipment.
Qualifications
- Certification: DANB Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent state licensure preferred.
- Experience: 1+ years of experience in a dental office setting.
- Licensure: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification required.
- Skills: Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dexis) and digital radiography.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex dental concepts to patients clearly.
- Reliability: Must be punctual and able to work weekends or evenings as required by the schedule.
