Responsibilities
- Chairside assistance during complex dental procedures including restorative and surgical cases
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with digital imaging technology
- Prepare and sterilize instruments, equipment, and operatory spaces following OSHA protocols
- Administer patient education on oral hygiene and post-procedure care
- Maintain accurate patient records using Eaglesoft practice management software
- Manage inventory and ordering of dental supplies to ensure seamless operations
- Assist with front desk duties including scheduling and patient check-in when needed
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DANB or equivalent)
- Kentucky Dental Radiographer permit required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and dental practice management software
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to put anxious patients at ease
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to infection control standards
- Ability to work 3-4 days per week including occasional Saturdays
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
