Responsibilities
- Chairside Assistance: Assist the dentist and hygienist during examinations and procedures, ensuring the patient is comfortable and the procedure runs smoothly.
- Patient Care: Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) and impressions as directed.
- Infection Control: Adhere strictly to OSHA and CDC guidelines for sterilization and infection control protocols to maintain a safe clinic environment.
- Front Desk Support: Greet patients, verify insurance information, and manage patient check-in/check-out processes efficiently.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate patient records and update charts with treatment plans and progress notes.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and restock dental supplies and equipment to ensure the clinic is fully operational.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current state licensure as a Dental Assistant (DA) required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply if they are eager to learn.
- Skills: Proficiency in taking digital X-rays and knowledge of dental terminology.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a friendly, patient-centric demeanor.
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using dental software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and assist patients of all ages.
