Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist chair-side during examinations and procedures, ensuring smooth workflow.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up materials.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) and intraoral images.
- Take accurate impressions for crowns, bridges, and aligners.
- Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care.
- Manage patient flow, schedule appointments, and update electronic health records (EHR).
- Maintain strict infection control protocols and sterilization standards.
Qualifications
- Certification from an accredited Dental Assistant program.
- Current Reno, NV Dental Assistant License (RDA) required.
- CPR and BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Previous experience in a dental office is preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients of all ages.
