Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, including vital sign assessment and history documentation
- Assist providers during clinical exams and minor procedures
- Perform basic laboratory tests and EKGs
- Manage patient records using EHR systems with strict HIPAA compliance
- Administer medications and injections per physician protocols
- Schedule appointments and handle patient communications
- Maintain sterile clinical environments and inventory management
Qualifications
- Accredited Medical Assistant certificate or associate's degree
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- 1+ years clinical experience preferred
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/NextGen experience a plus)
- Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical workflows
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure situations
- Colorado MA certification (or eligible within 90 days)
