Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, injections, and wound care
- Assist providers with examinations and minor procedures
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms, equipment, and supplies
- Manage patient flow and documentation in EHR systems
- Collect and process lab specimens with strict adherence to protocols
- Provide patient education on medications and treatment plans
- Coordinate referrals and follow-up appointments
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- BLS/CPR certification (or obtain within 30 days)
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong communication and multitasking abilities
- California state phlebotomy certification
- Ability to work 20-25 hours/week with flexible availability
