- Accurately code diagnoses and procedures using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS systems
- Submit clean claims to insurance companies and government payers (Medicare/Medicaid)
- Resolve claim denials and rejections through effective appeals processes
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and healthcare billing regulations
- Communicate with patients regarding billing inquiries and payment arrangements
- Utilize Epic and NextGen EHR systems for charge entry and account management
- Generate monthly reports on billing performance metrics
Qualifications
- 2+ years of medical billing experience with insurance verification
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Proficiency in medical terminology and anatomy
- Expertise in claim scrubbing and denial resolution
- Familiarity with EHR systems (Epic/NextGen preferred)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
