Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments using ESI (Emergency Severity Index) protocols to determine acuity levels
- Coordinate patient flow between waiting area, treatment rooms, and specialist consultations
- Initiate emergency interventions for life-threatening conditions per ACLS/PALS guidelines
- Document clinical findings and vital parameters in Epic EMR system with 100% accuracy
- Provide clear discharge instructions and follow-up coordination for non-emergent cases
- Collaborate with physicians and charge nurses during mass casualty incidents
- Maintain compliance with JCAHO and Arizona Board of Nursing standards
Qualifications
- Active Arizona RN license (Compact State preferred)
- Minimum 2 years ED or urgent care triage experience
- Current ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications
- Proficiency in ESI triage methodology and emergency documentation
- Strong clinical judgment for rapid decision-making in high-pressure environments
- Experience with Epic EMR systems
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
