Responsibilities
- Accurately code medical procedures using CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS guidelines
- Submit electronic claims to insurance payers and track claim status
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits
- Manage accounts receivable and resolve claim denials
- Communicate effectively with providers and insurance companies
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations
Qualifications
- 1+ years of medical billing experience
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Proficiency in medical billing software (Epic, Medisoft, or similar)
