Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications according to strict safety and regulatory protocols.
- Assist pharmacists with medication dispensing, quality assurance checks, and therapeutic drug monitoring.
- Manage inventory, including receiving, stocking, and organizing pharmaceutical products and supplies.
- Provide excellent customer service, answering patient questions and processing insurance claims accurately and efficiently.
- Verify patient information and maintain accurate, up-to-date records in our pharmacy management system.
- Ensure the pharmacy area is clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care transitions.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or currently eligible to sit for the PTCB/ExCPT exams.
- Current New York State (NYS) Pharmacy Technician registration.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in pharmacy preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety and privacy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm demeanor.
- Basic computer proficiency and strong math skills.
