Responsibilities
- Dispense Medications: Accurately prepare and package prescriptions, ensuring proper labeling and adherence to safety protocols.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to patients by answering questions, processing insurance claims, and managing refill requests.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, manage incoming deliveries, and organize the pharmacy storage areas efficiently.
- Medication Therapy Management: Assist pharmacists in reviewing patient profiles for potential drug interactions and allergies.
- Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate patient records and handle cash transactions at the register.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current PTCB or ExCPT certification required.
- Experience: Prior experience as a pharmacy technician preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply.
- Education: High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient privacy (HIPAA compliance).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using pharmacy management software and basic computer applications.
