Responsibilities
- Receive, verify, and dispense prescriptions accurately under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct regular stock counts, and ensure shelves are organized and well-stocked.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions regarding medications, insurance, and billing.
- Assist with the preparation of sterile compounding products and manage special orders.
- Process payments, handle returns, and manage the cash register with precision.
- Ensure the pharmacy environment is clean, safe, and fully compliant with all health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to streamline workflow and improve patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Current Ohio Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required.
- High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
- Previous experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting is highly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow complex instructions precisely.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-centric attitude.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs when necessary.
