Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense prescription medications accurately according to state and federal laws.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and medication orders for errors.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including receiving shipments and restocking shelves.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering phones and addressing patient inquiries.
- Assist the pharmacist in medication therapy management and clinical services.
- Operate pharmacy automation systems and Point of Sale (POS) equipment efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment.
Qualifications
- Current and active Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT) required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
