Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections with precision and minimal patient discomfort
- Process and label specimens according to strict laboratory protocols
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and transportation of biological samples
- Calibrate and maintain phlebotomy equipment and supplies
- Provide exceptional patient education and support during procedures
Qualifications
- Current Texas Phlebotomy Technician certification (CPT or equivalent)
- Minimum 6 months of clinical phlebotomy experience
- Strong knowledge of venipuncture techniques and specimen processing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation systems
- Current BLS/CPR certification
