Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and medical history to determine urgency of care
- Provide accurate telephone triage for incoming patients and consults
- Collaborate with physicians to prioritize patient cases efficiently
- Document assessments and interventions in electronic health records
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for seamless patient flow
- Educate patients on appropriate care pathways and resources
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and hospital protocols
Qualifications
- Current Nebraska RN license (required)
- Minimum 2 years emergency room or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication abilities in high-pressure situations
- Experience with Epic EMR systems (preferred)
- BSN degree or higher (preferred)
- Spanish bilingual skills (a plus)
