Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections following strict protocols
- Process and label specimens with meticulous attention to detail
- Maintain sterile equipment and ensure compliance with OSHA standards
- Provide patient education and emotional support during procedures
- Verify patient identity and document all specimens accurately
- Collaborate with laboratory team to ensure timely sample processing
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives and continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Current California Phlebotomy Technician certification (CPT1)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in venipuncture
- BLS/CPR certification from an accredited provider
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
