Responsibilities
- Assist the surgical team before, during, and after operations by preparing the operating room and sterilizing equipment.
- Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons and nurses during procedures, anticipating their needs.
- Count sponges and needles to ensure nothing is left in the patient.
- Prepare patients for surgery by positioning them and draping them.
- Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room at all times.
- Document patient information and surgical procedures accurately.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Willingness to undergo on-the-job training and certification preparation.
