Responsibilities
- Monitor patient vital signs and report changes to the healthcare team immediately.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner within the electronic health record system.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment to prevent infections and accidents.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding their condition and treatment.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Illinois.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; BSN preferred.
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Commitment to patient safety and quality care standards.
