Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient needs in accordance with nursing standards.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate documentation and patient safety.
- Monitor patient vital signs and symptoms, reporting any changes or emergencies immediately to the clinical team.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide emotional support and health education to patients and their families regarding their condition and treatment plans.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and nursing department meetings.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Arizona (AZ).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking skills, and ability to work well under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Experience in a medical-surgical or acute care setting preferred but not required for exceptional candidates.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients as necessary.
