Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging sterile instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Monitor inventory and restock surgical supplies to ensure readiness for cases
- Transport patients to/from operating rooms and assist with positioning
- Adhere to strict infection control protocols and safety regulations
- Document procedural activities accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with nursing and anesthesia teams for seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent surgical tech experience in OR setting
- Knowledge of sterile processing and aseptic techniques
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Current BLS certification
- Proficiency with electronic medical records systems
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
