Responsibilities

  • Prepare operating rooms by setting up sterile fields, instruments, and equipment according to surgical protocols
  • Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, supplies, and equipment with precision
  • Maintain strict aseptic techniques and sterile environments to prevent surgical site infections
  • Perform accurate counts of sponges, needles, and instruments before, during, and after surgeries

Qualifications

  • Completion of accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent military training
  • Certification as Surgical Technologist (CST) required or obtainable within 6 months
