Responsibilities
- Deliver expert patient care in acute care settings including ICU, ER, and med-surg units
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments per facility protocols and patient needs
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using EMR systems
- Maintain strict compliance with JCAHO and facility-specific regulatory standards
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and discharge planning
- Participate in rapid response codes and emergency interventions
- Adapt quickly to varying facility policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Kentucky (compact license accepted)
- Associates or Bachelor of Science in Nursing required
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience in specialty area
- Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EPIC/Cerner experience a plus)
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
- Strong assessment skills and critical thinking abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
