Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments using standardized triage protocols to determine urgency of care
- Accurately document clinical findings and patient information in electronic health records
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care pathways
- Provide clear, empathetic communication to patients and families regarding treatment plans
- Monitor and track patient flow to optimize department efficiency
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in emergency or urgent care setting
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Proficiency in triage systems (e.g., ESI, CTAS)
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure situations
