Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive telephone health assessments and determine appropriate level of care urgency
- Provide clinical guidance to patients regarding symptoms, treatment options, and care pathways
- Accurately document patient encounters in EMR systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and care coordinators for complex cases
- Educate patients on home care instructions, medication protocols, and preventive measures
- Triage pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients across diverse clinical scenarios
- Maintain crisis intervention protocols for emergent situations
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the State of Ohio
- Minimum 2 years acute care or emergency nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required (PALS preferred)
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Proficient in telephone triage protocols and clinical judgment
- Strong communication skills with ability to de-escalate anxious callers
- Experience with Epic EMR systems preferred
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced remote environment
