Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments using ESI (Emergency Severity Index) protocols
- Triage incoming calls and walk-in patients based on medical urgency
- Collaborate with physicians to determine appropriate care pathways
- Document patient encounters accurately in EMR systems
- Provide clear patient education on care instructions and next steps
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Ohio (compact license accepted)
- Minimum 2 years triage or ER experience
- BLS/ACLS certification required
- Proficiency in ESI triage protocols
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
- EMR system experience preferred (Epic/Meditech)
