Responsibilities
- Perform rapid telephone and in-person patient assessments using standardized triage protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to determine appropriate patient disposition
- Document clinical encounters accurately in Epic EHR systems
- Provide compassionate patient education regarding care pathways and resources
- Monitor patient flow and communicate effectively with care teams
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives for triage accuracy
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and emergency department protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Hawaii (or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years emergency/urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR)
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills in multicultural environments
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure situations
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
