Responsibilities
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Help clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility as needed.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications and ensure they are taken on schedule.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support, engage in conversation, and accompany clients to appointments or social activities.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious and appetizing meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients, including light laundry and tidying up.
- Personal Care Assistance: Assist with transfers, walking, and wheelchair assistance to prevent falls and ensure safety.
- Communication: Maintain open communication with clients, families, and the care coordination team regarding daily status and any changes in condition.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED: Minimum requirement.
- CNA or HHA Certification: Preferred but not required for all positions.
- Valid Driver’s License: Must have a reliable vehicle and valid insurance.
- Experience: Previous experience in home health, senior care, or caregiving is a plus.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Patience and Empathy: Genuine desire to help others and a patient, kind demeanor.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screen.
