Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense medications and verify prescriptions under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and tracking pharmaceutical products
- Provide exceptional patient counseling on medication usage and side effects
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and strict confidentiality protocols
- Utilize pharmacy software for dispensing records and insurance processing
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active NC Pharmacy Technician license required
- 1+ years retail or hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Proficiency in pharmacy dispensing systems (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
- Strong attention to detail and medication safety knowledge
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
