Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense medications and compound prescriptions under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking pharmaceutical supplies
- Process insurance claims and maintain precise patient records using pharmacy software
- Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and adherence protocols
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and sterile compounding procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient medication therapy
- Train new technicians on pharmacy operations and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Active PTCB or ExCPT certification required
- 1+ years of retail/hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong attention to detail with precise medication handling skills
- Excellent customer service abilities with multilingual a plus
- Ability to stand 8+ hours and lift up to 30 lbs
- Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician license in good standing
