Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare, label, and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and tracking pharmaceutical supplies
- Process insurance claims and maintain precise patient medication records
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and pharmacy regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care outcomes
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Texas State Board of Pharmacy registration
- Minimum 1 year hospital or retail pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and medication safety protocols
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment
