Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and stocking pharmaceutical supplies
- Process insurance claims and maintain electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, FDA, and state pharmacy regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care plans
- Assist in training new pharmacy technicians and interns
Qualifications
- Active Minnesota Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 1 year of retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy software (e.g., QS/1, Omnicell, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and drug classifications
- Valid CPR certification preferred
