Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including restorative, surgical, and orthodontic treatments
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following OSHA protocols
- Take and develop dental X-rays with precision and patient comfort
- Manage patient records using Dentrix/Eaglesoft software
- Perform chairside assistance and four-handed dentistry
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide under supervision
- Coordinate patient flow and maintain a sterile operatory
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant Certification (DALEA/CDA) required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and intraoral cameras
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and HIPAA compliance
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- X-ray license and BLS certification preferred
