Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Maintain precise inventory control using automated dispensing systems
- Process insurance claims and verify patient information
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and state pharmacy regulations
- Operate and maintain automated pharmacy equipment
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician license (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Prior hospital or retail pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with pharmacy software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- CPR certification or willingness to obtain
