Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and medication ordering processes
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient records
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and HIPAA standards
- Assist with sterile compounding and IV preparations
- Operate pharmacy technology including dispensing systems
- Collaborate with healthcare providers for patient care coordination
Qualifications
- Current North Carolina Pharmacy Technician license required
- PTCB certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Minimum 1 year pharmacy technician experience
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer proficiency with pharmacy systems
- Knowledge of sterile compounding procedures preferred
