Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently following standard procedures
- Verify patient information and insurance details for medication orders
- Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and tracking pharmaceutical supplies
- Maintain sterile compounding environments for IV medications and chemotherapy
- Process insurance claims and resolve billing discrepancies
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and pharmacy regulations at all times
- Utilize pharmacy software for record-keeping and prescription management
Qualifications
- Active Missouri Pharmacy Technician certification required
- Minimum 1 year of retail or hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and precision in medication handling
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
