Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare, label, and dispense prescription medications following all safety protocols
- Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and tracking controlled substances
- Process insurance claims and assist patients with medication counseling
- Maintain sterile compounding environments for IV medications
- Utilize pharmacy software for prescription processing and record-keeping
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active Texas Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 2 years retail pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medication safety
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication abilities for patient interactions
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 25 lbs
