Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications and verify dosage instructions
- Manage inventory control and medication ordering systems
- Process insurance claims and third-party billing
- Counsel patients on proper medication usage and side effects
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidential patient records
- Coordinate with healthcare providers on prescription refill requests
- Supervise pharmacy technician staff and train new team members
- Perform quality assurance checks on compounded medications
Qualifications
- Active Nebraska Pharmacy Technician license required
- 2+ years of retail pharmacy experience
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred
- Strong knowledge of medication interactions and contraindications
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Rx30)
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
