Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications and verify orders for completeness and accuracy
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and stocking pharmaceutical supplies
- Assist pharmacists in preparing IV medications and sterile compounding
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient medication profiles
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations
- Utilize pharmacy software systems for record-keeping and prescription processing
Qualifications
- Active Tennessee Pharmacy Technician license required
- Prior hospital or retail pharmacy experience preferred
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification strongly preferred
- Strong attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and drug interactions
- Proficient with pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
