Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications for patients, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety protocols.
- Verify prescription orders for completeness and accuracy under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and organizing pharmaceutical stock.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering phone inquiries, processing payments, and resolving issues.
- Assist the pharmacist in compounding medications and preparing intravenous (IV) solutions when applicable.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Handle insurance verification and prior authorization requests efficiently.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required.
- Active Arizona Pharmacy Technician license.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with pharmacy management software (e.g., Rx30, McKesson) is a plus.
