Responsibilities
- Accurately receive, prepare, and dispense prescription medications to patients and healthcare professionals.
- Verify the accuracy of prescriptions by checking for drug interactions and proper dosages.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving shipments, stocking shelves, and processing returns.
- Assist customers with prescription inquiries and provide education on medication usage.
- Process insurance claims and manage payment transactions efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Current Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) or registration with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent mathematical skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with pharmacy management software and computer systems.
